I have a dream II
2018, Oil on canvas, 50 x 40 cm (WxH)
All cushion pictures are once again standing for people.
"I have a dream."
The cushions quasi participate in the artist's dreams, forming and moving parallel to her dreams (or to the dreams of those looking at the picture).
About the artist
Sibylle Gieselmann's works tell in metaphors. They are mostly everyday objects that give us a glimpse of moving, emotional stories. Her way of working is realistic and precise. Poetry, humour, power and subversion are always to be found in her works.
Born in Karlsruhe, Germany, Sibylle Gieselmann studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna with Oswald Oberhuber, graduating in 1985. During and after her studies she worked as a make-up artist for film and theatre and as a draftswoman for animated films in the fields of music videos and commercials. In addition to art, she has been working as a graphic designer for many years.
