This picture shows the striking peaks of Schütz and Gamshag from the western shore of Lake Schwarzsee not far from the city of Kitzbühel. The snow-covered Schwarzsee is also significant in the lowest third. The darker middle part is characterised by the dense pinewood at the foot of the Hahnenkamm, crossed by branches of deciduous trees at the edge of the shore. The upper third lives from the snow-white peaks with shade and the contrasting blue of the sky. Worth mentioning about this picture is that it was painted in 2010 and was reworked in 2019 as a solitary work. The painting comes with a self-made black wooden frame.
About the artist

MARTIN METZGER

In addition, painting, always starting from the clear line, became more and more important. At this time the artist Oscar Asboth supported him immensely in artistic respects, which led to a strong, above all human development.
Today his stylistic elements are part of Metzger's latest paintings. For some time now he has also been working together with his wife Birgit on the "Gesamtkunstwerk". From interiors and fashion to theatre sets and performance projects. Core and starting point, however, are always his drawings or paintings, shown at about 100 exhibitions in Austria and abroad, among others for the Austrian Foreign Ministry. Most recently collaboration with the Austrian Ski Association.
Martin Metzger lives and works in Kitzbühel, Tyrol, Austria.
His works are privately owned by numerous well-known personalities.
